Podcast 70: Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid

In honor of Halloween, we offer this spooky edition of the podcast. We travel into the tunnels near Klaksvik and record some unexpected (and rather frightening) sounds. If you scare easily, don't listen to this podcast alone. Instead, gather the whole family around the iPod to experience the majestic horror that is Podcast 70.

As always, you can listen on iTunes and on our audio player at the top of this page. Or you can download the show directly right here:

You want bonus materials? We've got 'em.

First, here's the unedited recording we did in the tunnel:

Also, here's a short video we made outside the tunnel:

Podcast 68: Poetry in Ocean

This week, we talk to American poet Mark Wunderlich. He recently returned from the Faroe Islands, where he explored the countryside and had a reading at Sirkus. Also we visit the famed football pitch at Toftir (pictured above) and recap the match against Northern Ireland.

As always, you can listen on iTunes, use our audio player, or download the file directly here:

Also, starting this week, we're including a perma-linked audio player that will work even once this isn't the most current show anymore. Give it a try and let us know what you think:

Podcast 67: Checking in With the Neighbors

Shetland is the closest neighbor to the Faroes. But how are these neighbors getting on? This week, Heri Simonsen talks to the tourism coordinator for Shetland about tourism (obviously), the shared history of the two regions, and the long lost ferry connection.

Then we go to a public square (pictured above) and complain about a webcam. If you'd like to see the view from this webcam and decide for yourself, you can find it right here:
